Cake Cutting 101

In November, our family friends Laura and Joe invited us over for an elegant engagement dinner. Audrey was also invited. Laura, who is a #1 fan of autumn decked her house out for the season and the dinner.



It was a fun night! Laura and Joe outdid themselves with a very fancy dinner that included bacon wrapped fillet mignon and tomatoes stuffed with creamed spinach.

After a lovely dinner, Laura brought out a lovely cake wishing us a happy engagement and decorated with gumpaste leaves. She told us that this was our chance to practice cake cutting before we had to do it in front of a large crowd. We posed for pictures as we willingly cut and stuffed pieces of cake into each other's mouths. What a fun time we had ringing in our engagement at that party!

There are now just 8 weeks until our wedding and I look forward to it in every way!
